The University of Ottawa Scholarships is delighted to introduce their International English Courses: average-based renewable scholarships awarded on an average-based renewable basis to students from Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Korea India or Bangladesh studying English as their second or additional language. There will both Entrance as well as Excellence scholarships available.

The University of Ottawa takes great pride in the diversity of its student body and looks forward to offering international students studying within countries eligible for tuition fee reductions and greater savings when enrolling within eligible undergraduate programs that are delivered in the English language. Beginning this fall term of 2024. International students studying within those countries can enjoy greater savings when enrolling in an English program offered as an undergraduate major at UOIT.

University of Ottawa Admissions typically span three semesters, though international students must apply during Fall and winter intakes only for international admissions. Annual acceptance rates at The University of Ottawa remain highly selective with only 35% getting admitted every year; furthermore, international applicants need an average GPA between 3.0-70% to be considered eligible for graduate programs there – while English proficiency tests like IELTS or TOEFL must also be passed before eligibility can be considered for such graduate programs at The University of Ottawa.

Students looking into University of Ottawa MBA admissions have two choices for programs; 12- or 24-month MBA. GMAT or GRE scores must also be provided by applicants, with engineering/computer science disciplines, and management arts disciplines such as arts/commerce/health administration/economics being most desired by applicants to enroll. University of Ottawa Scholarships 2024 Benefits:

University of Ottawa Scholarships 2024 in Canada for international as well as Canadian students to study degree full time will award multiple Scholarships; details on each are as follows.

  • Autonomous Excellence Scholarships$1,000 to $4,000 the first year of college
  • Merit Scholarship of $1000 per full-time period attended.
  • President’s Award for International Students: Cost is $30K per year ($7500 annual cost).
  • The Chancellor’s Award for International Students: Valued at $26,000 annually ($6,500 total value).
  • Faculty of Arts Dean’s Merit Award: Cost is $4,000. (Rate is $1,000 annually).

University of Ottawa Scholarships 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for these scholarships, an international student must fulfill all of the following criteria.

Applications from any nation within Africa or one of the nations listed must be accepted into an undergraduate English-medium program at one of the faculties on this list by fall 2024 and should not apply to enroll in French immersion stream programs.
At the time classes start, an applicant must present at least a valid permit to study.
Candidates for full-time study scholarships must be full-time students enrolled in eligible undergraduate degree programs offered in English. African, Indian, Bangladeshi, Indonesian, or Vietnamese applicants will automatically qualify for Entrance or Excellence grants; renewable awards based on average enrollment times in these degree programs; while students from China or South Korea will be considered for excellence scholarships within similar degree programs.

  • Scholarships and bursaries may be available once your application for admission to the University of Ottawa has been received with access credentials and password.
