World Bank Legal Internship 2023- 2024 in USA Eligibility Criteria:

  • In order to apply, applicants must be citizens of an IBRO member state and taking a course in law (i.e., LLB, JD, LLM, SJD or Ph.D) or similar program).
  • Furthermore, evidence of insurance should also be presented during the interview process.
  • By World Bank policy, candidates must be eligible to receive a salary from their institution or any funding source.
  • Those speaking an additional language that is an official WW language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish), will be given preference in selection.

Application Procedure For World Bank Legal Internship 2023- 2024:

The Summer Internship Program Application Period will open on December 1st and close at the end of December (internship duration varies between 10-12 weeks, usually between June-August depending on needs). This is an ideal opportunity for law students who would like to gain full-time work experience at the World Bank during the summer break while still in school.

Applications for the Fall Internship Program open on April 1 and close at the end of April (Proposed internship period: 10–12 weeks and usually between September and November depending on current needs). It offers students an excellent opportunity to gain professional experience at the World Bank through internships during their academic year when enrolled in either full-time law programs or evening/part-time law courses. Under U.S. Department of Homeland Security guidelines, those authorized to take advantage of Optional Practical Training before completion can engage in part-time work (20 hours or less each week) while school is in session.

Applications for the Spring Internship Program open from September 1 and close at the end of September (Proposed duration: 10-12 weeks, usually scheduled from March to May depending on current needs). It provides an excellent opportunity for those wishing to gain professional experiences with the World Bank through externships during academic years when enrolled in full-time law schools or evening/part-time law courses. Furthermore, under U.S. Department of Homeland Security regulations those eligible to be part of OPT’s pre-completion phase can take part-time work (20 minutes or less each week) during school sessions.
